2010 Gratitude Challenge: Day 6: Jubilee

Have I said I'm a preacher's wife? Yup~that's me.

I've been one a few years now, and I am so thankful for my church family.  We have the most loving and considerate bunch of folks in our church FAMILY that we get to be with~and serve God! It's amazing how sweet they are to us! I just love 'em and thank God for sending us here!

TRUST ME, even when we don't understand or see, God's got our backs!

Ck out &/or join the other THANKers HERE participating at Garden of Learning! You can join us! Come on! It's fun!!

This is something to truly be thankful for! We don't currently have a home church. The church we attended for the last 7 years seemed to fall apart this past year. We went from several hundred attending on Sunday down to maybe 100. In a 9 month span we lost the choir leader, both the boys and girls high school Sunday school teachers, the youth leaders, one of two adult Sunday school teachers, the church librarian, several ushers, the woman's ministry leader, all but three out of the 12 deacons including the head deacon, a couple of trustees, the church clerk, the church secretary (she past away with cancer)... the list goes on. In the middle of this the pastor gave his resignation - It is not the same church it was last year at this time, to say the least, and we are have so much trouble finding a new one.

Boy, I don’t know why I told you all that. I guess to show you how right you are - what you have with your church family is something to be truly grateful for.

Having a church family is something I have had glimpses of but never felt real solid about. I am hoping that the new church I am attending will prove to be the place for me.

Nope, I didn't know you were a preacher's wife (but then again, I'm new here!). (Also, I love your personality!)
Back to the point, a church family is a great blessing. There is so much to be learned from other believers. Take care!

I've been wondering since you started commenting on my posts, are you on the TTAPP forums, or where do I "know" you from? Is it MOMY's forums in the past, or facebook or what? I can't place you yet... (Sorry :). That's really awesome to love your church family as the minister's wife. I am a pk and my Mom had some really difficult years with the church family.
