We also have Joy Hakim's series A History of US and love it! However, from what I can tell - the History Channel's video series, A Story of US, is not based on Hakim's books. There is a lot of confusion about it on the web via homeschooling blogs because so many of us are familiar with Hakim. It is just strange to have "Story" and "US" in both and have them not be the same! So I kept thinking it HAD to be the same, but apparently it isn't. There is a video series based on Hakim's books and you can get it through PBS but it is $150. We saw part of it a few years ago when it was shown on our local PBS station and it was awesome.
